Coursework
During my studies at Texas Tech, I have successfully completed a number of
technical communication and information design courses, as well as a few
courses offered by the Computer Science Department and the MIS
program. I say "successfully", because
my cumulative GPA was 3.68. I believe that these courses
have provided me with
good understanding of the field and taught me many skills core to the technical
writing profession. At the same time, the programming, database design,
and networking classes I took helped me to familiarize myself with basic
principles of software and systems development. I believe that this
combination of technical and writing skills helps me to understand
complex technical concepts and to communicate
more effectively with IT professionals and SME's.
