
Living out Our Faith
Some things to think about: where do you see Canterbury (as a group) living out our faith in the world? As we discussed, we have lots of ideas about where we can spend our time, talents, and energy. Here's the list:
Mission in Lubbock:
- Food Bank- Saturdays
- Shoe-boxes for Soldiers
- Battered Women's Shelters
- Animal Haven
- Race for the Cure (next fall)
- Boys and Girls Club
- Big Brothers, Big Sisters
- Sandwiches to the hungry in Lubbock
- St. Paul's breakfast (either we attend on Thursday morning and help, or start a new breakfast or dinner)
Mission in the wider world:
- One Campaign
- Millennium Development Goals
- To Write Love on Her Arm
- Hunger and Homelessness Seminar
Campus involvement:
- Foundation Camp (beginning of next year)
- Have a Coat Drive
Episcopal Church involvement:
- Happening
- Vocare (get it going again here in Northwest Texas)
- Booth at Diocesian Convention
Pilgrimage, spiritual journey to:
- Iona, Scotland
Mission trip to:
- Mexico
- South Africa
- Louisiana to help Katrina Victims
