From working on these projects I have acquired considerable experience with procedural and structured writing, editing, web and database design, single sourcing, and project management, as well as teamwork. I hold a Master's degree in Technical Communication with a minor in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University. The technical communication coursework have provided me with deep understanding of writing for software industry, editing, document design, report and proposal writing, web design, online help and instructional materials development, documentation project management, usability testing, and single sourcing; while the MIS coursework have given me a good knowledge of database and network administration, as well as exposure to a number of programming and scripting languages. I believe that this combination of technical communication and technological competences increases my ability to communicate effectively with programmers and engineers and thus may compensate for somewhat shorter professional experience.
