Project description:This semester-long group project involved reorganizing, rewriting, and redesigning the Medicaid Auditing Manual for Austin Travis County Mental Health and Mental Retardation Services. This project was my first experience with task-oriented procedural documentation and on-site usability testing. It was also the first project for our virtually permanent project team - The Three Stooges, Inc., which included Kevin Chou, Aubrey Hardman, and myself. The personal and professional bonds formed while working on this project have determined our future success in the Master's program and as STC chapter leaders. My responsibilities in this project were the ones of a writer and lead designer. As a project for the Technical Manuals class with Dr. Thomas Barker I wrote a chapter on using email (web messaging) that was missing from the manual that came with my old Sprint PCS Samsung Uproar phone. |
